Response to Classmates' Reflections of Week :3

WEEK: 3 Reflections

While surfing Hot Potatoes I came across lots of images that can be inserted into vocabulary speaking and listening exercises for kids in ELT classrooms.

I have been through the Reflection Pages of Week :3 of some of my existing classmates such as Ina, Jasmina, Nino and Rukia. All of them have sent interesting facts and updates as regards the usage of the the search engines given to us in this week to access.

I would suggest to go through http://www.eurocall-languages.org/recall/pdf/rvol11no2.pdf,  this online journal to know the search engines as regards second language acquisition, translation of native language into Englsih, Juggling Hot Potatoes , Virtual Language Lab, promoting distance language learner's aural-oral skillsvia the Internet.

The Delicious.com is infact helpful in knowledge-building exercises as regards pronunciation, listen and write, vocabulary identification and understanding with the help of images and  Randall's Cyber Listening lab. This Listening Skills Lab is full of assessment  incentives to understand the level of learning as regards sound patterns of English Language.  One can learn and evaluate one's level as well as one can find better modules for teach teaching English as Lingua-franca in the classroom. http://www.listen-and-write.com/?gclid=COPmzYukkLMCFVAa6wodYEoAmg. It allows EL trainers and students to listen to the exercises prepared on the link http://www.teachertrainingvideos.com/listenWrite/index.html. It enables us to reform old language teaching methods in part through the use of 'natural' contexts. It is away from the conventional structural oriented textbooks, rather it focuses on the behavioural change at the word level and the degree of the aural - oral skill in the listen exercises transform one's understanding to sentence level.

My friends I would suggest you that on the search engine noodlequest.com/ www.noodletools.com/debbie/literacies/information/5locate/adviceengine.html It's great to be with you on this web-platform and getting opportunity to exchange ideas and resources that we are getting from each other. Curiosity and Communication through the web-portal are now are tools. Who want's to miss this chance? I too explore the www.onestopenglish - excellent lesson plans and  www.breakingnewsenglish.com. These webpages enable us to be ready with Internet and the Language Classroom.
I would like to share with you a link that contains article from issues of FORUM dating back to 1993 and helps us to search the online archive - http://exchanges.state.gov/englishteaching/forum-journal.html.

there is a link that leads you to Find Sounds wherein we can have sound effects and music samples for any of the word of EL, we can listen, drill and we can follow up writing work by understanding its meaning. For intermediate and higher education sector I found American Rhetoric very close to derive information as regards current affairs through the voice of prominent speakers of America, this site has full-text, audio-video of American public speeches, lectures, debates, interviews and events.
